Les premieres - First ones

For those of you who like mangoes... Obviously here, they have a taste they don't have when they arrive by plane or boat for us in the West! Maybe that's because here they just come by bike? The seller arrives in front of the house and you buy them directly like that. Well, directly... of course you need to haggle, making a face at the beginning that it is well too expensive and that you don't need some then, but he wants to sell them to you so he puts the price a little down, reminding you how much the price of water went up, and how little rain there was last year, and how little rain there has been even this year!

Speaking of rain, I got my first "thulo pani" (strong rain) yesterday as I was looking at things around the stupa. So the only thing to do is to find a spot where you can wait. If you are lucky, you'll find company to discuss a little. There I was, babbling with the little Nepali I know with children who were surprised an "angrej" would speak Nepali a little. They were afraid of the photo.

So today, lunch at a Tibetan family I know, and then work!
